Who we are
ProjectTBI.org was founded by survivors, for survivors.
We believe that traumatic brain injury is one of the most misunderstood health challenges of our time. While many injuries heal visibly, the cognitive, sensory, emotional, and physical effects of TBI often remain hidden—leaving survivors to navigate a world that may not fully understand their daily reality.
Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals affected by traumatic brain injury through education, advocacy, research, storytelling, and community support.
Founded by veteran and TBI survivor Tony Falsone following a life-altering motor vehicle accident in 2023, Project TBI was created to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and lived experience. We share survivor stories, educational resources, research insights, and practical recovery strategies to help individuals, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers better understand life after brain injury.
We believe recovery is not a straight line. It is a journey shaped by resilience, adaptation, community, and hope.
Through interviews, articles, videos, research initiatives, and public awareness campaigns, Project TBI seeks to amplify the voices of those living with brain injury while advancing a more compassionate and informed understanding of recovery.
Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, clinician, researcher, veteran, or simply someone seeking answers, you are welcome here.
Because after brain injury, no one should have to navigate the journey alone.
